Direct x 9.0c installation problem

When installing direct x 9.0c on my windows xp machine, a message appears near the end of installation saying that a source cannot b trusted and the installation failes!!! Help, I need dirct x 9.0 c for a new game I have brought!!

Thanks for the replies, no that isn't the message i'm getting, it says something like a file from the source cannot be trusted!!! Any ideas???

Have you tried going directly to the Microsoft website and in the 'Search for' box type in 'Direct x' and you should be taken to a download page.
I think the source can be trusted now as you are dealing with Microsoft itself!

If its for the games they most likly have dx9c on the cd anyway just install from that.

I have tried that but the same thing happens!!
