dimm slots

have two slots with 64mb each giving me 112 mb
replaced 1 slot with 128 and left 1 64 - now gives 160 - shall i replace the 2nd slot with 128 ?? or leave it alone grrr help me pls someone whats the best thing to do

Sounds like the video memory is taking some of the RAM - standard thing if you have on board graphics.

If you put in 2 x 128, you will have 256 less whatever is taken by graphics. Whether there is any advantage depends on what operating system you use and what you do with it.
