I have been using a SDRAM module (168 pins) on
a 100MZ motherboard and I would like to know if
I can use it on a 133MZ board providing the pin
connections agree, advice greatly appreciated as
always Solly

If the mobo will accept SDRAM I can't see any reason for it not to work

but it will only run at 100mhz, even if you put a 133 in. All the ram has to be the same parity

You can use it - but what speed you run it at depends on the module itself.

If it's a 133MHz module, then it should run happily in the 133MHz board.

If it's a 100MHz module, then you can run it, as long as you change the memory speed setting to 100MHz. The speed setting for RAM if often labelld somethng like Default, or Default-33MHz - you would need the Default-33MHz.

Unfortunately the settings descriptions are a bit unstandardised, so if in doubt about what to select, ask again.

I know what parity is - it's your statement I don't understand.
