Is a camera bought in the USA the same as one bought in UK

A mate of mine recently bought a Canon EOS 300 through ebay from the USA with no problems.So the answer is probably, yes.

the name may be slightly different to the uk model

the charger supplied(if any) may not work on uk voltage

software supplied(if any) may differ

apart from that should be similar.

The USA version of the Canon 300D is in fact badged as the "Rebel" but apart from the name difference the camera is identical.

In the usa with Nikon, apart from the F5 and the high up digital cameras, the serial number has a "N" at the end..so when the customs are rumaging through the duty frees..no good you saying you took it with you..... :-)

N = north america.......

I bought one from ebay and the mains plug on the charger was of the two-pin variety. You can either use a shaver adapter or, as I did, purchase an equivalent from someone like Maplins.

My Other half bought a Casio qv3000ex sometime ago it didn't have a power/battery charger so was ablle to use the UK casio one from my camera (uses 4 x AA batteries)

so No problems with it
