Digital camera connection

When I connect my digi-camera to the USB port it does not bring up the window where you are asked to drop the images. Where can I re-activate this function?

Have you got your gateway software active?

  Tj_El 11:26 16 Oct 2003

Wes Tam ;-), you've totally lost me... gateway software?

  Wes Tam ;-) 11:35 16 Oct 2003

Tj_El this is the software that you have loaded so that when you connect your camera to the USB port it automatically downloads your pictures to a destination of your choice.

Ah! So I should run the CD software again right? OK I'll do that. Cheers.

Re-installed, re-booted, attached camera but still nothing happens.

Any ideas what else I should do?

Some data on camera could be of help. Like make and model, memory card if it has external memory or is it all internal.

Have you got the s'ware open before you attach the camera?

  Bagsey 12:19 16 Oct 2003

Just another thought. Have you looked in my computer to see if the camera shows up as a drive. Some do this.

l'espion digitaldream, internal mem.

camera attached but does not show as a drive

My advice would be to buy a card reader, they are not exspensive, read all cards and ard much easier to work with than the softwear that comes with the camera. They also save your batteries.
