One tip -- don't be too impressed by large digital zoom; the largest optical zoom you can get is more useful and better quality.

Loads to go on and it pays to shop around.Jessops and Dabs seem very expensive so i will try Purdys.

If you find something you want on the net, give your local Jessops a ring as they will price match.

I bought a camera from them last week, their price was £280 but Amazon were charging £230. I got it from Jessops at £230. Well pleased.

I would rather get something like that from a local shop, as it's much easier if you have to take it back for any reason.
