Difference between duplicator and docking station

I initially looking for a simple HDD duplicator and it randomly came across the docking station. What confused me is that both of them designed to copy a HDD to another one, and the docking station can connect to the computer, but the duplicator can't, am I right? Is there any other difference between them? Cause the docking station seems much simpler.

Docking stations are usually to connect laptops easily to external equipment such as monitors full size keyboards networks or external drives.
