Desktop.ini files everywhere!!

i have just recently noticed that every folder i create has a desktop.ini file in it, which windows explorer says is "configuration Settings". i never used to have them...

contents of it:

[.ShellClassInfo]
IconFile=%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll
IconIndex=27

its not really a big deal i just hate it when things start happening that i didnt start!

I believe that they are the icon files for your folders, that's why you get one in each folder.
