Desktop Icons

Why have my desktop icons all now show as mauve, and not the colours they used to?

The only thing I have done recently is to download Adobe Reader 8.1.1.

Since then my desktop has changed drastically.

I have done a System Restore back to 02/01/2008 but the icons are still mauve/purple.

I have done a screen print but I don't seem to be able to get to Imageshack to upload it.

Think I have found it now:

Click on an empty area of the Desktop>Propeties>Desktop tab>change the background Colour as required (mine is set at white).

X7-250, yes you're right. I did have this problem before. I don't know how it was solved. I just booted my computer one day and everything was back to normal. Not this time though.

Fortunately, I have 3 (yes 3) cloned C: drives. One I keep here and the other 2 are kept at two different friend's houses.

I have just installed the clone I have here and everything is once again back to normal.

All I have to do now is make another clone of the current C: drive, which I will do shortly.

Would still be nice to know how it happened in the first place?
