I am running windows xp home edition, when I switch on the p.c.it boots ok the welcome screen appears ok but the folder called system 32 ends up on the screen and I have to keep closing at at every boot up. I cant find where to disable this, can anyone help,

Has this just started? if so try System restore. If not go to Start/Run/ type sfc /scannow ( watch for the space between sfc and/ This will check your system files of which system 32 is one. You may need your XP operating disc.

I am trying to get hold of a cd with service pack 2 as I only have dial up. Dell cant help me, does anybody know the size of the download

SP2 for home users is not available yet. I believe the CD is going to be on the next issue of this veritable mag.

reference my recent posting saying system 32 folder keeps opening on start up, I have resolved this by doing the following. this fix was emailed to me by Dell:
Go to program files\creative\SBaudigy 2\program\startup Menu
Double click on the Audigy.exe
When the window opens check"dont show me this again" and close the window
this removes a bogus entry in the registry.and it worked
