Dell Automatic Powerdown

  kennett 16:10 04 Aug 2003

I posted this last month and thought one of the responses worked - it doesn't.
My Dell Inspiron 3200 laptopcloses down after a few minutes inactivity. It goes into a "suspend" or "hibernate" mode. Press the power button, using the touchpad and hitting keys have no effect. I have even tried removing the battery to no avail.

There is an additional display in the status window, on the left hand side, which shows a closed padlock, capital A, number 1, a square made up of 9 dots and a downward pointing arrow.

The power saving option in "Set Up" is "Disabled".

Someone please help me!
