Does anyone know what this means? I had a problem where I was working on the laptop and everything froze, then when restarted the keyboard and mouse were unresponsive, but made a beep when pressing certain keys. Tried turning off and on again several times, ended up taking oUT the battery and when it started up it went to pic above. Did this for 10 mins now loaded up normally. Have an essay to finish tonight but don't know if its safe to continue working on it with risk of losing work....

It usually does this after its run chkdsk and found lots of bad clusters and some files are lost.

I suggest you back up all your files before doing anything else!!

If the machine appears to be running OK after that Then I wouldn't worry to much but it is advisable to backup files as you go especially for course work.
