Could you tell me how to delete all the searches that appear in the drop down box on win xp, eg "google", & passwords etc.

If using Internet Explorer (IE). Go to IE>Tools>Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete & press the 'Clear Forms' & 'Clear Passwords' buttons.

If you want to stop this from happening altogether in the future, just untick all the boxes under 'Use AutoComplete for' & press OK, OK. G

CCleaner click here will also clear out this (except passwords) & more, I believe . G

nobbyhigo, do you use a secure password manager/form-filler?

If no, try RoboForm (homepage click here), which is well-recommended.

click here to download the last free version (5.7.6), that'll allow you to save 30 passwords. The newer free versions will let you save 10 passwords only.

If you find it's automatic popup feature (a boon to some) an annoyance, whenever you visit a webpage that has a username/password/etc fields, you can turn this feature off in its Options. G
