Deleting attached programme

  yogibear 00:04 03 Jul 2003

Whenever I open my browser, half the page is taken up by a program called 'people on page'. Where it came from I have no idea, but I cannot get rid of it.
I do not have the knowledge to go into the registry and lok for it, is there any other way of deleting it?
It is in a folder called POP in Program Files. When attempting to delete it I get the message ' cannot delete POP 167. It is being used by windows'.
It is simply one dll as far as I can see.

Try click here or click here

Or keep tapping your F8 key when your computer is starting and choose safe mode. Try and delete it from thier.

However i would download, install, update and run the above two progrmas to remove all traces of pop.

Also see if its in Add/Remove in the control panel.

Thanks for that Powerless. Ran Ad-aware, but it didn't pick POP up. Managed to delete it in Safe Mode though, so thanks again.

Pain in the posterior these bloody pop ups, ads, spyware, etc.
