deciding on protection: Firewall/Virus Pro

  Stella2 23:16 18 Nov 2003

I have just worked through a real drama trying to get my PC and my new PDA/Phone to 'talk to each other'. It turned out the problem was caused by Norton Firewall. Until this happened, I've been happy with the protection afforded by Norton, but there seems little point in having protection if it protects me from my own hardware & software! Could anyone please advise me of a firewall, virus protection etc that won't interfere with the use of 'friendly' stuff?!

Many thanks
