Hi can anyone point to a program that fixes stuck or dead pixals on my laptop screen if such a program exists?
It looks like a grey smudge but on the inside i think. tried cleaning the screen but it is still there, the laptop is 2 years old.

Woody is right there is no such program.

Try this (it may be an urban myth). Use a moistened cotton bud to gently massage the screen area.

I've never had a dead pixel - I must be due for something much worse!!

I have heard of the "pressure method" as in the link by Fruit Bat but never tried it but there is not a program that will remove it.

In some cases, the manufacturer sends all screens to sale, and then replaces the screen if the customer reports the unit as faulty and the defective pixels meet their minimum requirements for return.[5] Some screens come with a leaflet stating how many dead pixels they are allowed to have before you can send them back to the manufacturer.
