De-bug messages - causing havoc...please help

  eager_2_learn 11:34 18 Oct 2004

When I log onto ebay two messages appear asking if I wish to debug then again when I start to search until finally it shuts down explorer. I have clicked 'yes' in the past which obviously brings up the debugger..then what? Should I have done this?
The messages read something like '.....does not support this object'.
My OS is Windows 98 and browser is explorer.
Please could somebody help.....I would be so grateful.

In IE, try

and ensure there is a tick in

"disable script debugging"

Whilst you're there, you might also remove the tick from "Display a notification about every script error"

Don't worry about it - the error lies in the computer you are connecting to, not your own.

I did what you said and bingo 'no more de-bug messages', fantastic..thank you!

The other thing was when I log onto ebay it re-directs me to a page where it says 'your browser setting is preventing you from logging on to the new URL' any suggestions here......thanks so much!
