DDR2 or DDR3

Hello all,

I'm new here. I'm attempting to build my own gaming PC.

Specs I've sourced are as follows, but not sure what Motherboard I need to use with my chosen CPU and graphics card (I have a case and disc drives already) - Should I save cash and go for DDR2 (and therefore cheaper RAM) or spend out on a DDR3 board and RAM:

Core 2 Quad Processor Q6700 2.66 Ghz

Graphics - BFG nVidia GeForce 9800 GX2 1GB

Power Supply - CoolerMaster 700W REAL POWER PRO MODULAR PSU

Am trying to keep costs reasonable for the whole machine but will DDR3 mobo and RAM make game play THAT much better? Is it worth spending more for a DDR3 setup?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

DDR3 not worth it. You will not see a big difference.
