data cleansing

I need to return a PC to Dell (they've offered a replacement) and I want to scrub my drive due to there being sensitive material (legal reports) on it. Can someone recommend a drive cleaner/scrubber I can purchase that will do a reasonable job? I'm expecting Dell to behave responsibly at their end in terms of disposal.

either of these will help...

After using MAT ALAN's suggestion, you can then return the computer to factory settings using the Dell built-in utility.

Thank you Mat & Maj. I'll take a look at those suggestions. I need something relatively idiot-proof as I'm a competent PC user rather than being wholly IT proficient.
