Hi guys,

I am trying to create a dos batch file that opens one instance of notepad and 10 instances of Internet Explorer. The file I created opens the notepad but not IE, here's what I put in the body:

C:\windows\notepad.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Exit

Obviously I must have the dos path wrong for IE but what I have entered is the only command line I can find for it. Does anybode have any suggestions on how I can do this?

Cheers,
Deyne

.

I think you may be missing the "Carriage Returns" of the end of each command line.

Peter.

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Exit

That's exactly what I was looking for and works a treat.

Thanks
