No doubt there is a simple solution to this problem but can anyone help? I have a large number of CD Roms from computer mags (collected over the years) and I would like to create a database of the programmes on each disk, rather than look at each disk individually. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks in anticipation.
Depends on what you mean by "database"... You can copy the programs that you use from the disk onto your hard-drive and use a program like "Autoplay Media Studio" (click here) to create a new "autorun menu" and then burn the finished thing onto a CD-R.... And then you will/should have less disks to store (unless you copy almost ALL the programs onto your drive)
Belatucadrus, I have MS Access,MS Works and Lotus Smartsuite, do I really need a spreadsheet? I seem to recall that there is a way to access a list of programmes from a CD that can be copied into a database. Please advise if I am wrong.
