CPU usage nearly 100% at times

Hey everyone!

I would like to ask you a question.

There is a problem with my PC either while I am downloading something, or either when I am playing an online game which has peer-to-peer connection. (games with dedicated servers are fine without a problem)

When this happens my CPU usage drasticly increases up to nearly 100% and the computer itself becomes laggy, or the game becomes unplayable.

So what can this possibly be?

I did the bcdedit /set useplatformclock false command but it was not a real solution for the gaming part of the problem.

What can possibly cause this thing?

Maybe I need to uninstall ZoneAlarm Firewall?

Or should I just make a fresh, clean install on Windows 10? (this install was made by upgrading 7 to 10).

Or any other ideas? Any idea is welcomed!

Thanks for the help in advance!

How much memory do you have?

How much free space is left on the hard drive for virtual memory?

Thank you for your answer.

My specs are: CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5 GHz VGA: nVidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB RAM: 8GB (2x4 GB) hyperX I think, DDR4 something. I only have two HDDs, NO SSD: one is 1TB and the other one is older 500 MB The OS is Windows 10 64bit and is installed onto the 1TB one (which is new, made by TD), the older one which is 500MB is completely unused at the moment. The new 1TB has currently 428 GB free space left.

Have a look in tasakmanger- processes to see what is using the CPU
