Counterspy confusion

I purchased Counterspy on 3rd May 2005, so when it expired and required updating just over a week ago, I found my Licence/Registration number was returned invalid. I emailed Counterspy support but only got a reply from Vigil Software who have spent the past week or so trying to resolve the problem. This has entailed sending my licence number, a copy of the email I received when I purchased Counterspy, plus other details, i.e. order no at least twice. Meanwhile, I've been unable to update and finally switched to Windows Defender and uninstalled Countespy, at least until things are sorted and I can download again with the same licence number. Vigil appear to be unable to comprehend or to tackle what must be a simple enough problem. Has anyone else encountered a hitch like this?
