I've since learned after running Ulead MovieFactory that a lot of their products corrupt the registry which is why none of my video aps work anymore. I've already run RegScrub and RegSeeker. Short of reformatting the HDD, is there else I can do? I have the XP Disc but not sure how to restore or repair the install. Don't want to reformat if I can aviod it. Thx

Go to Start/Run/and type sfc /scannow (Watch the space) hit enter it will ask for your XP CD so put it in and this will replace any corrupt or missing files .It will not make any changes to your applications or programs.
