in correct E-mail address

  jack 09:17 18 Dec 2009

I was given and E-mail address by someone who needed the location of a shop.
I sent the info to the address as written down and it bounced back bnextday as 'No account'
OK so perhaps e missed a vital dot in the addressee line as some times can happen- I therefore tried all the various combinations of foforename surname
then forename surname.dggits as written all bouned and the maul returned next log on'
All bounced ,so he got it plain wrong in writing down.
To day out of curiosity I tried more combinations and spelling
But I notice that instead of leaving my machine and going round the loop and coming back later I am getting it back instantly, and occasionally a message querying the spelling used.
So is this my machine remembering things or is it really going out and coming back that quick?
The server trying to reach is Yahoo web mail
