Converting video files for playing in Facebook

Anybody know how I can convert my video files, from their DSC format from my camera, to a format more suitable for Facebook. Current 30 sec file is 88Mbytes. Could take a long time to upload. Using Windows 8.1 and can't find a 'Save As' option.

DSC is not the file extension. What are the letters at the end, after the .

or what make and model is your camera?

Sorry, basic error.
.MOV is the current file ext. the camera is a Nikon 1.

My choice would be Freemake and here's the 'howto' convert any MOV video to AVI or MP4 formats absolutely free ClickHere

others may have different suggestions.

This facebook help page click here under the 'How can I make sure my videos are high quality?' section says .MOV or .MP4
