Just go to the Command Prompt and execute the command CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs

and it should start the conversion. Its a while since I converted my hdd to NTFS by this command, but I seem to remember it started the conversion without any further messages(but my brain has long since fried trying to remember all this windoze stuff)

unfortunatly mine is asking for my volume label??

Oh well,in that case, its just asking what you want to call your hdd(so in Win Explorer you would have C:TULIP D:DOWNLOADS or whatever you choose for the names)

You will not be able to use as much software as on FAT32 and to remove NTFS you have to FDISK the Drive

I dont get your post Colin,I haven't found anything that I had on FAT32 that wont run now I'm on NTFS?

  woodchip 00:23 22 Jan 2004

There is some Software as there is hardware that just does not like NTFS
