Convert word table into excel

I have received a huge word table and if possible want to convert it into excel so that I can analyse the data. Can i do this, and if so, how?

1 In Microsoft Word, select the rows and columns of the table you want to copy.

To select the entire table, click in the table, and then click Select Table on the Table menu.


2 Click Copy .


3 Switch to your Microsoft Excel worksheet.


4 Click in the upper-left corner of the worksheet area where you want to paste the table.

Cells from the copied table will replace any existing cells in the area.


5 Click Paste .
