Convert Video File to Music File

I have a song on MPEG format video file and I can't get hold of it on audio format. Is it possible to convert this to mp3 so I can listen to it with my other tunes?

you need to change the mpeg file name to "mpg"
then you should be able to convert it to mp3

Thanks for that. I downloaded the programme, but when I convert the file it plays fast. Is there any way of removing the Pinky and Perky effect?

Try using an audio recording program while you are playing the video.

Can you elaborate on this please. An example of an audio recording programme would be useful.

I have a Creative sound card one of the apps is Creative recorder you can set it to record what you hear, therefore play the video in media player and record with this, there are free progs with record features such as click here
although I have not used it,others will suggest more.

Britto and Stalion thanks. Used a utility called Audio Recording Wizard with successful results.
