Convert LWP files to Word

  Legslip 23:27 08 Jun 2018

I have just helped a pal install a new PC. His old one had Lotus on it. I have installed all of his files on his new PC together with Office 2103. However, Office/Word will not read his LWP files and he no longer has his Lotus disks. Is there a way to convert, hopefully in bulk, his files to doc? What will Lotus Symphony do? Will he be able to read/edit/save his LWP files with that?

Hi Legslip - long time! We used to do this with openoffice I recall. Feature should be in LibreOffice and I think there was a bulk import tool specifically.

Sadly I may have a copy of Lotus knocking about. Want me to check the Cellar? Simple to save them then individually as Text Documents.

Evening Taff. Yes, long time. Tried with Libra Office. Bloody odd, it will open some lap files but refuses to open others. Cannot see why. Thanks for the offer of Smartsuite but I have scrounge a copy this end and will load it in the next day or two. Just hope win bloomin 10 accepts it. I'll advise how I get on.
