Hi I need help!! I have two pcs which are connected through a router and share internet connection. I have been trying to connect them in order to share files but each pc wasn't able to see the other. for the moment my problem is that in pcA workgroups I see the computer pcA and in pcB workgroup I see pcA but do not have authorization the access it.
Is it normal that pcA workgroups see pcA ??? I DON'T THINK SO BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT I COULD DO TO FIX IT IF IT DOES HAVE TO BE FIX!!!!

Try switching off firewalls one at a time and see if you can connect.

Problem is often 1 of the firewalls either not allowing out or the other not allowing in.

For some strange reason, in XP, the guest account has to be enabled for the PC's to see each other via a router.

Baffled the daylights out of me till some nice bright spark on here mentioned it.
