Configuring a Netgear MR814 router

  Jollyjohn 10:19 02 Sep 2007

I have a specific problem with this router in that I caanot view certain web pages. Specifically BT and Inland Revenue. I can log in to both but cannot then get the next page i.e. self assessment. All other websites are ok. I have removed the router from the set up and replaced it with a basic ethernet hub and I can now access all pages.
Using W XP, Madasafish ISP broadband, Voyager 210 modem. Wired connections, the wireless bit I only use occasionally for a laptop.
Have I missed something in the setup of the router?
The error message I get is that "IE cannot display the page"

If you are experiencing problems with *secure* https pages, it could be an MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) issue. Check in the router's settings for an MTU value, which is normally 1500 by default, and try reducing it to 1492. If that doesn't help, try 1450. If that still doesn't work, the problem lies elsewhere.

I have tried the MTU values as suggested but it still wont connect to secure pages!
When I attempt to access the secure pages there is no traffic registered by the zonealarm meter.
