Computer wont bootup

Hi All

Terrible trouble. My pc was fine until yesterday afternoon, then it packed up. Wheni start it, there is no BIOS screen, the disks whir as usual, no mouse or keyboard function - just a blank screen.

I have changed graphic cards - no luck and monitors - still no luck.

I am now desperate, can anyone help?

ps - if you can start in safe-mode, then try a System Restore back to when it was all OK.

me agan - if none of the above works, then I would try a different PSU.

Hi Techotiger

I dont get anythng on screen - how can i go into safe mode? I have tried a different power supply unit - still the same, what about memory failure?

Are fans running?

If yes, PSU changed and Graphics card changed the fault either Memory or CPU or motherboard.

Try reseating memory or if two modules try one at a time.

Hi Fruit Bat

I've changed the graphics card as well - no luck

I'll try the memeory, this is where my suspicions lie....

Hi, sorry I have been away - try again to get into safe mode. Try to start in normal way and then During the start-up keep pressing F8 repeatedly - this is how to get into safe mode.
