Computer Voltage Regulator problem

hello guys,i have just discovered that my Computer Voltage Regulator i think has a problem, it creates a confusing sound every 5-10 minutes mins i think, and it sounds like craking, i don't whats the reason behind that, and i think it greatly damages my Power Supply because i have just replaced my Power Supply three times because my PC automatically reboot!!, what should i do with my Regulator??, or shall i buy a new One???, pls help.. :'(

The voltage is usually regulated in the PSU so not sure exactly what you mean.

Do you really have a Voltage regulator - if so what type - or do you mean an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

Are you in the UK - the use of Voltage Regulators should be pretty rare in the UK I would have thought.

In any case, it shouldn't be making cracking noises. Can you run without it? In the UK you should be able to.
