Are you using a boot disk?

If you are trying to install '98 using a floppy and CD set and the message relates to the floppy disk you have 2 possible solutions.

1: If your PC is new enough you can use to BIOS to select "Boot from CD" and install from there. However as you where previously running '95 your hardwear probably won't support this so:

2: Find a PC running '98. Slip in a blank floppy and
Go - My Computer/Control Panel/AddRemove Programs/
Startup Disk(this last is a tab not an icon).

I have tried using the boot disk... on screen get a prompt C:/

Type "setup"

Type "a:" press enter
Then type "setup"

Not 'a'.

Depending on which bootdisk you have used, type 'd' 'e' or 'r'.

until you get to a prompt.

Then put the 98 disk in, type 'setup', Enter.

Correction, theat should be 'd:' 'e:' or 'r:', then enter.
