Computer freezes then does not turn on

  scipio1st 10:59 14 Jun 2017

I have had this problem for about 2 years now so the idea of it possibly being hardware failure is confusing to me. I have also done various steps to try and eliminate certain things.

When I am working on photoshop and watching a film/youtube the computer can sometimes at random freeze and not unfreeze. The only way to unfreeze is to hold in the power button for 10 seconds. This can also happen while playing video games and even when just using photoshop and listening to spotify.

These symptoms have become worse where it is happening about twice a day, rather than just a few days a week. Another thing that has started happening is the fans and LED's will not start-up except for the CPU fan and 'noises' happening to show its starting up. But nothing comes on screen. The fix for this was to reseat all the hardware connectors. Another time it was to unplug everything and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.

Things I have tried to fix it:

Changed from Windows 7 to a clean install of windows 10 (no fix)

Changed graphics card (no fix)

Changed Power supply (no fix)

Changed themal paste on CPU (no fix)

Added a bigger fan on cpu (no fix)

Updated all drivers except for bios (no fix)

Installed all windows updates and chip-sets.

Ran memory diagnostics and come back with no errors

The PC runs fine and can play all the latest games at best settings. But whatever is happening just happens randomly and with no prior symptoms. It's as if something just chokes and then freezes everything in place to avoid damage.

HAve you looked in event viewer to see what errors show in there after a crash?
