Computer does not recognise internet

I am using Win98se and Telewest "dial-up". My computer does not recognise that it is connected to the internet - The phone line is O.K. - The modem dials out and connects O.K. - But I am not connected !!! It works perfectly well with a different computer connected - Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem - Thank you - Ian

Possibly winsock settings incorrect. Do you get a DNS error? Possible fix click here

VoG - Thank you - I will try this prog tomorrow - No I don't get a DNS error - All I get on the screen is the usual message that state that the page is unavailable
