Computer Crash using a-squared ?

  night 20:27 18 Jun 2005

Having used a-squared many times and having removed Malware successfully, but on this occasion it found I believe Win32.Bagle Worm I clicked thinking it would remove all and the worm but to my suprise it removed all my desktop icons rendering the computer useless as I had no way to correct it, and have had to painstakingly reboot the computer so loosing all my pictures and loads of other stuff, so can a-squared be trusted or is it all my fault?
I would point out I have a firewall, spyware, and Norton Antivirus installed.

Did you download the latest signatures before scanning? There was a thread on here a few days ago reporting similar problems because of an update to a² that was a little over-enthusiastic in what it deleted. This has been fixed with the latest a² updates.

I had the same problem and it appeared to have the pc locked down. I eventually found a way of getting into system restore and went back a couple of days and all is now well. I cannot remember what page but I got to it through task manager by hitting control-alt-delete.

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
