Does anyone know of a backup program that is compatable with the above operating systems? What I want to do is back-up a folder in XP to put it on the HDD for 98. None of the ones I can find are able to install into XP. TIA off to bed now. I will read any responses tomorrow night.

I'm not sure I understand what may be a problem. Can you not simply copy it to CD from XP and put onto 98 that way?

Try Karen's Replicator if you want to do it on a regular basis; EZBack-it-up is another that should work.

The cd-rom on my win98 pc will not read the recorded cd's so I thought about backing up to floppy....TT

Is it a one-off? Then burn to cd, take the cd writer out of the XP machine, put into the 98 machine and it will read the CD.

food for thought. Cheers, will see how I get on....TT
