cleaning out a computer

Hello all... I will probably be getting a ne computer soon but I like all the programs on my Windows 98 and would like to save them all.
what is the best and quickest way to pull every program, document and file off my old computer and then re-load it into the new one? I do not have a CD burner, unfortunately.
Also, will all the programs that are compatible with Wndows 98 be compatible with a Windows XP?

You will need to reload your programs onto the new PC from the installation CDs.

You can copy across your documents and settings click here

You may be able to get old programs to run in compatibility mode click here

Suggest re-loading your programs from oribinal cd's as some may need to make registry entries or use shared dll files. For your data files suggest getting a crossover cable and network cards and link the two pc's together on a network.
