Advice please on cleaning fingermarks of cds, is it possible to buy a product or can one just use a cloth ? Thanks

If its just finger marks I have been using soft tissue paper successfully

Don't laugh, but i always use windowlene spray. Leave it on for a few seconds and wipe it down with a clean cloth or tissue paper.

Remember to dry it from the inside to the out side in segments, as if they were slices of pie. Do not go round and round in circles.

bsod - The Green Mr Muscle does the same job and with kitchen towel leaves no grease. (And I find it kinder to my hands) :-) Although a small amount of Fairy in warm water works ok to then rinsed well in warm water. And hands that do Cd's can be soft as your face too.

Personally I use Calotherm Superspray, obtainable from good opticians. I regularly use it for cleaning spectacles, mirrors etc.

It leaves no residue whatever, and applied with a tissue, is very economical, and once cleaned, the CDs remain in good condition for a long time.

Toxin.
