Changing Windows

Hi again, I have my new Dell notebook, wasn't keen at all to begin with, but getting used to it.

Only problem is it is so slowww. I have been advised this will be the Vista, also have probs downloading programmes with it. I want to go to XP but can't afford it yet.

I have a genuine Windows ME, would I be able to put this in until I can get an XP. Would appreciate your help - I rely on this forum

There is also Linux, if you are interested. I am not overwhelmed with Vista, I prefer XP, or even ME.

If you do install ME, check that you can get the dricers for your notebook. You also might invalidate the warranty.

You may be able to change the HD and put a different OS, but again this might invalidate the warranty.

hi there, I did phone Dell and they offered to sell me an XP disc, for £99.99 ?? so I am not sure about the warranty. I have a Dell XP that came with my previous Dell PC and also wondered if I could use that.

I wonder if I could download drivers that are necessary before I change it Oh Boy HELLPP lol
