changing size of the lettering

As my eye sight is getting worst is there anyway of changing the size of the letting when opening any programme in Window 8 outlook, word, excel etc. without having to do it individually in each programme.

I'm not an expert on this but the first thing that springs to mind is to change the screen resolution, thus bringing everything to a larger view. However, this will also mean that you see less of the overall page on the screen.

Not wanting to 'teach you to suck eggs' etc, but in case you're not sure, Right click on desktop, click on Display settings, scroll down (if necessary) for Resolution and change there to lower numbers.

There is also 'Ease of Access Centre' in Control Panel (Win 10, so not sure about Windows 8)

There are other forumites here that I'm sure have much better knowledge/experience who will help soon.
