I currently have 'My documents' located on my 'C' drive but that is starting to get full and want to be able to move it to another drive and have the icons point to that location. Is there a way to move them to a different drive but still keep the icons in the my documents section?
Perhaps a different idea (I hesitate to say better) is to move all data such as documents, pics, text files, downloads, etc to your D drive, calling the folders something different from the M'soft titles. I once had an instance where I had copied the relevant My Docs, etc to a D drive folder called something like old_data prior to a reinstall and windows swept the lot up and put it back on C drive even though that was not my intention. Anyway my philosophy now is only to have a clean OS and programs on C drive (backed up to another drive) then to reload windows and progs takes 15 mins.
