Changing Computer Administrator Problems?

  night 20:00 13 Jan 2006

Having recently put in a new hardrive and changed from Windows Me to Xp, and passed on my computer to my son, it now appears all my details come up all the time and one cant remove them or change the Administrator as it remembers all past history etc, So how does one remove this as surely a new hard drive should be clean? or does the memory retain all and if so how can one remove it?

new hard drive master or slave?

Did you do an upgrade or clean install?

In answer to Fruit Bat, a brand new Hard drive and a complete install of XP, I welcome suggestions to resolve problem

User pofiles no saved in memory only on HDD.

Boot to safe mode log in the administrator account.

Set an account for your son as an administrator then delete all the other users.

Many thanks for your reply Fruit Bat, I am still at a loss and trying to understand why previous detail is still in computer when it has a New Hard Drive, and would email you for more knowledge but I will try as you say go to Safe Mode and delete myself as administrator and hope this will recify the problems we are having.
