I have been with Tiscali broadband (now TalkTalk) for years but have just received a tempting offer from BT (who I have my phones with). Is it a pain to change servers? My main concern is my email addresses.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Your BT e-mail address will revert to a pay-as-you-go account. You dont actually pay anymore, this is a throwback to dial up days. As long as you check your BT address on a regular basis it will remain active.

If you leave Tiscali/TalkTalk then you will lose those email addresses. Make sure everyone knows.

I left Pipex/Tiscali a few years ago and they killed mine within a week.

Changing is a simple matter of requesting your MAC code from Tiscali and supplying it to BT (or even better O2)
