changed password

In the last few days ,when I try to connect to
the internet, the connection panel comes up with
a different password to mine, I dont know what the
password is but it is a lot more letters than
mine,I have to delete it and type in my own
password before I can connect.
Also when I am reading my emails and click on
a link to enter a competition or something, the
computer shows the dial up connection box and
the modem starts to redial, again with the wrong
password,I have not altered any settings soI am
wondering if this is a faulty modem, a virus
or a software problem.Any help will be appreciated

Can I ask have u actually tried to connect to the internet with the password that you think is incorrect?

Suggest you go to IE tools/internet options, click on connections and delete all connections and re-enter your details.

You see some security features have a password appearing in the box of different length although using the auto password is actually your password.

Sorry bit complicated to say this late in the night for me. But I know many ppl who have sed same thing.

The dots are always more than the number of digits you have chosen for your password, It's to stop people from guessing how many you have used. Just let it log on with your chosen/saved password. j.
