I can see how to change the ascending/descending order of e-mail messages received in Outlook Express 5.0 but can someone please tell me how to change the date to day/month/year format. I'll be grateful in time to come when I wonder if a document printed today appears to be 8th March rather than 3rd August.

Ensure the language settings everywhere are set to UK English.

Open Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Regional Options Tab, check language is correct and click Customize. Click on the Date tab and change to the format of your choice.

for that very clear guidance. Everything in order now and I have made a note of what to do should the Americans ever invade again. Cheers!
