Chainsaw File Splitter

Hello all
I have just been reading about a file splitter program (freeware) called Chainsaw. Can anyone please tell me if it will solve a problem that I have.
I edit digital video using Sonic Foudry's Video Factory then pick up the rendered file in Pinnacle Express to add chapters and burn to DVD.
My problem is that, although the Video Factory program has no problem with the large file produced, Pinnacle Express truncates the file (I think at the 2.0MB point) and this means I can only use a small part of the DVD's capacity.

Any help will be much appreciated.

As I understand the way it works, each chunk will be an invalid file in both of your video programs. The file has to be reassembled before it can be opened in the application used to produce it.

You could use it to store a huge file across several DVD disks, then reassemble them on your hard drive. That is all.

Many thanks for your fast response. I thought it sounded to good to be true:-(

I'll tick it as resolved.
