CDRW Write Process

I recently purchased a new PC with an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ processor and a 52x24x52 CDRW.
I run Windows 98SE and when attempting to back up
files from "My Documents" to the internal CD drive via "File/Send to Direct CD Drive" I get the following message "Finishing all the write processes in progress".This message remains
for about 4 minutes then is replaced by the message "Failed to flush volume.Drive reported an unknown error (0x8000001e).Direct CD failed to finish outsranding operations.
Eject CD anyway?"
If I connect up an external CDRW and follow the same process everything works perfectly.
What is the problem with the internal drive?

You have to Format a CDRW or a CDR to use Direct CD By CD-Creator or InCD By NERO to do what you want to do. look in the System tray for a CD icon right click and choose format. You can then us like a big floppy disc
